WOMEN IN MANAGEMENT: CONFRONTATIONS AND ACHIEVEMENTS ON THE PATH TO EQUITY IN LIGHT OF THE II SEMINAR ON WOMEN IN ACADEMIC CAREERS AND POSITIONS OF POWER
Abstract
Discussing a topic deeply pertinent to the Sociology of Work and gender studies, this article aims to understand the challenges facing women managers in public government spaces based on the reflections proposed during the II Seminar Women in University Careers and Spaces Power realized in April 2023. An event based on feminist epistemology. The methodology of this work is qualitative in nature and its research source is the dialogues presented during the event by the interlocutors at table 2: Women in Management, based on participant observation and documentary analysis. These women present disruptive discourses and experiences in relation to the socially naturalized model of femininity and anchored in reductionist behavior patterns created by patriarchy.
