STALKING: A NEW FORM OF THE HABITUAL AND REPTILESS CRIME OF PERSUCTION SUFFERED BY WOMEN IN BRAZIL

Abstract

This article analyzes the practice of stalking, how it occurs, what is the definition of the stalker and who are its victims, in addition to the motivation for its occurrence, with the analysis of the Brazilian criminal type that regulates it. In addition, the previous concern with the subject and the reason for its relevance will be demonstrated, given that this practice aims at the psychological and emotional attack of the vulnerable, especially women who are statically the main targets of the persecutors. And finally, to address the importance of this change to combat violence against women and the correct criminal classification of this type of persecution, whether in the real or virtual scope. The bibliographic referential methodology was adopted in the research, using books, scientific articles, and Brazilian legislation on the subject studied here.
