Abstract

The popular platiband architecture of the Northeast is considered in this article as an object of historiographical investigation. To create such narrative, we sought to investigate academic and artistic research, referring to the typology at the regional level. With the contribution of designers and architects it was possible to elucidate the main characteristics of such production, from the form of construction, materials, to the styles that are characterized as frames of reference of the tipology. The article also aims to rescue such academic and artistic research that until then had little spread in the regional and national scenario.
