Women in science, teaching careers, and spaces of power

It is with great satisfaction that we present to the public, in general, and researchers
in particular, this Dossier: Women in science, teaching careers and spaces of power,
which aimed to welcome reflections on gender relations and cultural practices in scientific
institutions and universities. From this perspective, we hope to receive studies that deepen
and refine debates on gender, corporeality, history of emotions and sensibilities, women's
, black feminism, plural feminisms, and feminist theories. In the current context of growing authoritarianism, conservatism in morals and customs,
setbacks in rights and disputes in the field of public and social policies in Brazil and
South America, women and men from the sciences and knowledge production institutions have
been called and calls to defend democracy and its reconstruction, to combat disinformation
and far-right ideologies and their impacts.
